Sonoma Coast Alliance is honored to partner with California State Parks as the official cooperating association supporting Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve.

Through this collaboration, Sonoma Coast Alliance will support visitor engagement, interpretive and educational programming, volunteer stewardship, community involvement,
and fundraising efforts that help protect and regenerate this distinctive coastal forest.

Located adjacent to Salt Point State Park, Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve protects a remarkable forest community known for its native Pacific rhododendrons, redwoods, Douglas firs, tanoaks, and other coastal vegetation. The reserve was created from land donated to the people of California by Edward P. Kruse in 1933.

As the nonprofit partner for the reserve, Sonoma Coast Alliance will work alongside State Parks staff, community members, and volunteers to foster meaningful connections between people and place while helping advance the long-term stewardship of this important habitat.
