California State Parks protects and preserves the state's extraordinary natural, cultural,
and recreational resources for the inspiration, education, and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Along the Sonoma Coast, the department manages an interconnected network of remarkable public lands, including Sonoma Coast State Park,
Fort Ross State Historic Park, Salt Point State Park, and Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve, together encompassing nearly
20,000 acres of coastal forests, marine habitats, historic sites, working landscapes, and public beaches.

These landscapes include iconic destinations such as Goat Rock Beach, Shell Beach, Wright's Beach, Bodega Head, Gerstle Cove, Fort Ross Cove, and the rhododendron forests of Kruse.

These parks protect some of the most significant natural and cultural resources on the Sonoma Coast while providing opportunities for recreation,
