As Founding Executive Director of Sonoma Coast Alliance, Ian brings a career dedicated
to connecting people with nature through conservation, stewardship, environmental
education, and service. His experience spans nonprofit leadership and park management,
with a focus on bringing people and organizations together around a shared sense of place.

Ian’s work is rooted in the idea that enduring stewardship begins with connection:
when people know and care for a place, they become invested in its future. At Sonoma
Coast Alliance, he builds partnerships that strengthen the relationship between people,
land and sea, culture, and community across the Sonoma Coast.
